Paragon MOBA First Look Video And Beta Sign Up
December 9, 2015 - Beta, PC, PlayStation, Video Game,
Epic Games has released a new gameplay first look at it’s new Paragon MOBA this week, and has opened signup for a beta coming soon. After two years in development the developer has said “We’re excited to invite people to start playing the game over the next few months. Online testing will begin in January, followed by paid Early Access in Spring, and Open Beta in the summer of 2016.”
The new hybrid style MOBA combines FPS into the classic game style. Players can expect the standard five v five hero combat on three-lane maps. Paragon will also feature doomed AI-controlled characters who relinquish buffs to their killers. If you are thinking I just played a beta of that it was called Battleborne you might be right. Paragon will be similar in game type but far different visually. Paragon looks beautiful and far more on the realism scale than the almost cartoon style of Battleborne. The Unreal Engine can create some amazing scenery in the skilled hands of Epic Games.
The Paragon MOBA will also feature another trend in gaming – the in-game cards. I’m not a big fan of in-game cards but it seems to be here to stay – for a little while at least. Gamers can start to explore the cards now online and save them for in game use later. I’d recommend checking the card preview pages to get a close look at these awesomely designed characters.
Getting back to the beta test, some gamers from this beta sign up will be invited into early online testing but not all. If you want a guaranteed spot it seems like you will have to pre-order Paragon. Epic says online beta testing will begin in January, followed by paid Early Access in Spring, and Open Beta in the summer of 2016. Paragon will be avaiable for PlayStation 4 and PC.
